The Brigid’s cross is a traditional craft made at Imbolc and candlemass by pagans and Christians alike. Named after the celtic goddess and the Irish patron saint, St.Brigid. This cross is normally hand created from rushes however occasionally straw is also used and is thought to keep evil, fire and hunger from the homes in which it is displayed. By Peter Stone – the world’s leading manufacturer of sterling silver Wiccan and Pagan jewellery.
